Arsenal have been dealt yet another untimely setback ahead of Wednesday’s high-stakes Champions League meeting with Club Brugge, with highly rated youngster Max Dowman now ruled out for an extended spell.

PulseNets learnt that the 15-year-old England youth international has sustained an ankle ligament injury that is expected to sideline him for around two months. The fresh concern emerged after Dowman picked up the problem during a behind-closed-doors friendly against Manchester United.

Information obtained by PulseNets indicates that the teenager’s injury, while serious enough to keep him out for several weeks, will not require surgery. This aligns with the assessment earlier reported by David Ornstein of The Athletic.

Ornstein, in a post on X, revealed the initial details of the setback, writing:

“Max Dowman is expected to be out for roughly two months after suffering ankle ligament damage.”

He further added that the promising Arsenal attacker was injured “in a challenge by an opponent during an Arsenal friendly against Manchester United, but anticipated surgery is not required.”
