Ex-Binance Executive Tigran Gambaryan Calls Nigerian Government “Lawless Regime” After Trump’s Warning

Former Binance Holdings Limited’s Head of Financial Compliance, Tigran Gambaryan, has launched a scathing criticism of the Nigerian government, accusing it of being lawless and reliant on criminals and thugs who prioritize self-enrichment over national welfare.

Gambaryan’s reaction followed recent remarks by former U.S. President Donald Trump, who threatened to cut off American aid to Nigeria should the country fail to halt the ongoing persecution and killings of Christians.

PulseNets learnt that Trump, in a strongly worded statement, also directed the U.S. Department of War to prepare for potential action against Islamic terrorists if the Nigerian authorities continue to neglect the protection of Christians.

The former U.S. leader, through his verified social media account, reportedly urged the Nigerian government to “act now and protect Christians”, warning that failure to do so could attract international consequences.

PulseNets obtained reports indicating that Trump’s latest statement comes after Nigeria was officially designated a “Country of Particular Concern” — a classification triggered by what the U.S. describes as systemic religious persecution and failure to safeguard minority rights.

Reacting through his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Gambaryan did not mince words. He wrote:

“Nigeria is currently run by a lawless regime that depends on criminals and thugs more interested in enriching themselves than caring for their citizens. Cowboy up.”

The comment, which has since attracted widespread reactions online, underscores growing international frustration over Nigeria’s governance and human rights record.

PulseNets reported that Gambaryan, who once played a pivotal role in Binance’s global compliance structure, has remained outspoken since his legal ordeal in Nigeria — often describing the system as hostile and compromised.

Observers told PulseNets that both Trump’s statement and Gambaryan’s reaction could further strain diplomatic relations between Washington and Abuja, especially amid heightened global attention on religious freedom and governance integrity in Africa’s most populous nation.
