GehGeh Breaks Silence on Family Neglect Allegations, Tells Siblings to Work

Popular Nigerian content creator and influencer, Emmanuel Obruste, widely known as GehGeh, has broken his silence following allegations of neglect levelled against him by his younger sister.

The controversy, which quickly gained traction across social media platforms, saw his sister accuse him of abandoning family responsibilities despite his perceived financial success. She also alleged that she was denied access to GehGeh’s recent housewarming event, a claim that further intensified public criticism.

PulseNets learnt that the accusations sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians questioning the influencer’s stance on family obligations and wealth distribution.

Addressing the backlash in a video shared via his Instagram page, GehGeh pushed back against the narrative, insisting that his financial capacity has been overstated. He stated that “I never get the kind of money wey fit raise family from poverty. I can only do my best and not my all.”

Providing context to his position, the content creator recounted instances where he had supported his family financially, including purchasing the mobile phone currently used by his sister. PulseNets reported that he also urged his siblings to become self-reliant rather than depend entirely on him.

Emphasising his journey, GehGeh noted that he is the first individual in his family to attain a significant level of financial breakthrough. He stated, “I no go help anybody in this life to the point wey be say I go con later need help from them. I will not do it. I will give my best not my all. See, I wicked ooo. Yes I wicked. Na wickedness carries me reach this level.
