Rivers Governor Sim Fubara Denies APC Defection Rumours, Says “I Have Not Gone Anywhere”

Amid growing speculation surrounding his political future, Sim Fubara has dismissed reports claiming that he defected from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.

The Rivers State governor, while speaking with journalists on Wednesday, clarified that he remains a member of the APC, insisting that there has been no change in his political affiliation, PulseNets learned.

Fubara urged Nigerians and party supporters to ignore rumours circulating across social media platforms alleging that he had dumped the ruling party.

“I know that there has been a lot of drama in the media from one story to the other. People should stop using whatever situation that they pick up from social media or their own interpretation of any situation to present me wrongly.

“I have not gone anywhere. I’m still a member of the Congress, and I remained a member.

“Whatever happens, what is most important is supporting the overwhelming interest of the party,” the governor said.
