Lamar also dominated the performance-based rap categories. His SZA-assisted single, Luther, earned Best Melodic Rap Performance, while Chains & Whips, a joint effort with Clipse, won Best Rap Performance, PulseNets reported.

Beyond the rap categories, Luther went on to capture the prestigious Record of the Year award, marking one of the night’s biggest moments.

Following his multiple wins, PulseNets learnt that Lamar has now surpassed Jay-Z’s long-standing record of 25 Grammy awards, becoming the most-awarded rapper in history with 27 Grammy wins.

In another major highlight of the ceremony, Olivia Dean emerged as the Best New Artist at the 2026 Grammy Awards, beating fellow nominees Leon Thomas, KATSEYE, Addison Rae, and Lola Young, PulseNets learnt.
